Speaker Bio - Bill HumbertBill Humbert of The Humbert Group, a contract recruitment professional, is a 1971 Assumption College, Worcester, MA graduate. He has had 3 completely different careers – construction supervision, fertilizer sales, and recruitment. He is an enthusiastic speaker with a passion for his business. His presentations are lively and his topics concern everyone. Bill Humbert enjoys being with people and they feel his excitement. RecruiterGuy became a professional recruiter in 1981 in the Washington, DC area with MCI Telecommunications as his first client. Over the years other clients have included The Washington Post, Comsat Labs, USF&G Insurance, Geico Insurance, CSX Technology, Telegroup, LeFebure, Intermec Technologies, Digital Broadband Communications, Latitude Communications in Santa Clara, CA, Identico Systems in Nashua, NH, and Life Investors Insurance Company, an AEGON member company. Since 1990, with the exception of 1.5 years as the Recruiting Manager for McLeodUSA in Cedar Rapids, IA, he has had his own contract recruitment consulting business - The Humbert Group, with clients on each coast and in the Midwest. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids). He has given his “Let’s Make Salary Negotiations Fun!” talk on the East Coast and in the Midwest. He has also been asked to contribute to Fran Quittel's Career Advice column in Computerworld. His four hour "Employee Retention and Recruitment Strategy" workshop was well received in Chicago with high marks all around. In this workshop, he works with Human Resource managers and hiring managers to develop an understanding that recruitment and retention are tied tightly together. Bill is the Vice President of the Iowa Senior Human Resource Association. Bill estimates that he has read over 400,000 resumes since beginning in 1981. He has interviewed over 13,000 candidates over the phone or in person and has worked with over 3000 hiring managers.
